Fondation Pro Familia

The Fondation Pro Familia supports children, individuals, couples, and families who are experiencing relational, marital, family or parenting difficulties, or who find themselves in a situation of psychological or social distress.

In order to guarantee a comprehensive approach in favour of families, the Foundation manages various services and reception facilities.

The Fondation Pro Familia holds accreditation from the Ministry of National Education, Children and Youth, as well as agreements with the Ministry of Family and Integration and the Ministry of Equality between Women and Men.

Consultation Services

Centre for Family Counselling and Mediation

Psychological consultations, couple and family therapy, family mediation, children’s discussion groups.

This centre offers various services for adults, adolescents, and children who experience emotional or relational difficulties at a personal, marital, or family level.

Espace Femmes – Consultation Centre

The consultation centre is aimed at women who are victims of domestic violence and provides screening, information, and prevention services in the field of domestic violence.

In addition to offering space for expressing their experiences and working on new perspectives, clients receive social, administrative, and legal information.

ALTERNATIVES – Consultation Centre for Children and Adolescents Victims of Violence

The service offers psychological support in the context of various forms of domestic violence within the family, such as situations of psychological or emotional violence, or neglect.

The service is intended for children and young people up to the age of 27 who are exposed to violence in their family, either directly (direct victims) or indirectly (as witnesses).

Reception Centres

Crisis Centre for Children

The Multipurpose Centre for Children provides emergency day and night shelter for up to 10 children aged 3 to 12 years who are confronted with family situations that seriously endanger their physical, psychological, and social integrity.

This centre accommodates children who are victims of neglect, abuse, and children from families in temporary distress (illness, hospitalisation of a parent, etc.).

It primarily deals with emergency situations and intervenes during moments of family crisis.

Espace Femmes – Shelter

The shelter is specifically intended for women who are victims of domestic violence, with or without children, and who find themselves in psychological and/or social distress as a result of domestic violence.

The centre offers temporary accommodation in crisis situations, as well as support in processing the experience of violence.

Individualised support is provided to help the women develop their skills, guidance in caring for their children, as well as social assistance.

A follow-up service provides social support at home when transitioning back to autonomous living.
