1nergie S.A. is an independent Luxembourg consulting office. We are all about energy efficiency.
Energy consulting for new buildings:
The customer describes his building project. By calculating variants (orientation, system technology, thermal envelope, geometry, dimensions, energy quality of the building materials used), the best compromise is determined. The plans and the energy pass for the building permission are then created.
Energy consulting for existing buildings:
An energy consultation involves a survey and evaluation of the current state. The energy consultation report is a requirement in order to be eligible for state subsidies for the energy-efficient renovation of existing buildings. The report (approx. 40 pages) also provides information on the cost-effectiveness of the proposed renovation measures.
Energy passport for planning permissions:
Based on the plans, the insulation thicknesses required to reach the targeted energy efficiency classes are determined.
Energy pass “as-built”:
The “as-built” energy pass is calculated before the building is delivered. Any differences between the energy pass for planning permission and the actual construction are adjusted. The “as-built” energy certificate is a requirement for an application for state aid.
Energy passport for existing buildings:
The Luxembourg legislation on the energy efficiency of buildings divides properties into residential buildings and non-residential buildings (functional buildings). There are a number of cases in which an energy passport is obligatory, and energy requirements must be complied with, e.g. in the event of a change of ownership or change of occupier, as well as in the case of modifications and substantial changes and extensions.
Thermography and Blower-Door test:
Obligatory for all new buildings, the blower door test is able to detect leaks and thus effectively prevent condensation problems which occur during building use. High energy efficiency cannot be achieved without a high level of airtightness.
