No matter what use you make of it (kitchen, living room, etc.), your veranda will bring to your home a real added value. If it must match the architectural profile of your home, it must also stick to your personality. The choice of his style is not to be taken lightly.
We find in particular:
• The classic veranda: simple and timeless, it is suitable for all types of homes. It usually has straight flanks surmounted by a monotonous roof.
• The contemporary veranda: designed for modern homes, its flat ceiling and large glazed areas offer a breathtaking view of the space around you.
• The Victorian veranda: ideal for so-called "traditional" houses, it will give it a retro note. Its multi-sided roof, topped by a central beam, will give you the impression of being transported in a winter garden of the 19th century.
• The veranda "artist's studio": you are a fan of the industrial style, which is very trendy? Here is the veranda that you must adopt! It is resolutely design, thanks to its balanced proportions and straight lines.
• A porch kiosk: its particularity lies in the fact that it is not attached to your house, and can therefore be placed anywhere in your garden. With its form of kiosk, as the name suggests, it is particularly perfect if you have a pool, since you can have it built next door.
When choosing the material, it is up to you to turn to the one you like the most. Wood, PVC, steel, aluminum, ... Everyone has its advantages, but know that at the moment, the last city is a great success, and composed moreover the majority of extensions recently built.
If you like modernity, whether your home is new or older, this is the material to focus on. Elegant, it exists in a large choice of colors, and allows a great diversity of forms, since it is ultra light. This last property does not mean a lack of solidity. It is indeed highly resistant, and, not insignificant detail, does not rust, despite the weather that it can be confronted.
Non-deformable, it is able to support a certain weight, which is to take into account if you want to integrate large glazing. Insulation side, it is also the top! For a long time, aluminum has not had the reputation of being the best insulation. But now, this is no longer the case, since great progress has been made thanks to the technology of breaking thermal bridges. Combined with double glazing, your place will be perfectly isolated, both in terms of heat and sound.
From a health point of view, it is also the safest material since, in addition to being flammable, it does not release any toxic properties. Finally, it requires little maintenance, which is any bonus!
The aluminum frames are in fact covered with a powder-coated paint, which prevents the dust from catching. A simple blow of sponge, with a little soapy water, is therefore ample.
Whatever your choice, do not forget the key to success: use a professional in the sector, because the construction of a veranda requires some know-how. Better not to take this project lightly, at the risk of ending up with an extension filled with imperfections.
