Our daycare is a family-style daycare.

The single-family house converted into a childcare facility is located in a cul-de-sac in Belvaux. It has a garden at the back with a sandbox, offering plenty of opportunities for various activities. Its proximity to major roads (the Belval roundabout and the new motorway linking Luxembourg to France) is an advantage for working parents. Its opening hours – from 6:30 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. – also allow parents to complete their workday with peace of mind.

The maximum capacity is 19 children. This small number ensures that each child receives individual attention. The limited group size guarantees a calm environment and allows the educational team to care closely for each child, thereby creating stronger bonds. Each child’s needs can be considered within the different groups, and individualized care is encouraged throughout the day while respecting each child’s rhythm.

          The baby group

          (3 months – 2 years)

This is the first separation from parents – a difficult moment for both. The educational team is very attentive and provides comfort to help the baby adapt to the new environment. Special attention is also given to parents so they feel confident entrusting us with their child. Communication is very important: exchanges about the morning and the events of the day strengthen the daycare-parent relationship.

The day follows each child’s individual rhythm: changing, resting, feeding. Educators often sit on the floor at the baby’s level, stimulating them with sound toys and different textures.

As soon as the baby begins to move, crawl, or get on all fours, the space is adapted. Educators then offer more psychomotor activities using climbing equipment and tunnels. At this stage, mirrors are very popular, as babies begin to discover themselves.

At the same time, babies pay more attention to other children. Socialization begins. At first, it may be a bit rough (pulling hair or touching faces), but it is a fundamental stage in their development.

          The middle and older group

          (2 – 4 years)

Children at this age love imitation games – they want to act like adults. The play kitchen area is very popular: they play with pots and pans, prepare meals, offer coffee or ice cream. Dolls are also part of this imaginary world. They feed, walk, and care for them as they see their parents do.

In addition to the daily routines already established (activities – handwashing – meals – brushing teeth – nap time), new rituals can be introduced for birthdays, Christmas, and Carnival. Seasons are linked to specific moments, such as decorating the Christmas tree in winter or wearing sunglasses in summer.

Children are now able to thread smaller beads. They can also engage in painting on smaller surfaces, collage, and sticker activities.

They communicate more with each other. Their favorite word is “no,” which they say to both children and adults. They begin to assert themselves, make decisions, and gain independence. It is the right time to teach them to respect others through simple actions: waiting their turn for the slide, saying thank you, and not taking another child’s toy.
