Founded in 1925 to combat phylloxera and support winegrowers during severe crises, the Institute of Viticulture and Oenology in Remich has, since its beginnings, supported the sector with practical, innovative solutions and scientific expertise. Today, it serves both as a modern administrative body and as an experimental center linking research, practice, training, and sustainable development across 6 hectares of vineyards. It also plays a key role in the training of winegrowers, the management of subsidies, the implementation of national and European policies, and the quality control of wines and crémants under the AOP Moselle Luxembourgeoise.
