The Kaweechelchen Nursery is a structure approved and licensed by the State. The rates applied follow the “Chèque-Service” system.

The nursery opened its doors in 1995 and has a capacity of 64 children aged from 0 to 4 years.

The main language used in our structure is Luxembourgish!

The role of our nursery goes far beyond that of a simple daycare, thanks to the work of a qualified, certified, and experienced team that contributes daily to the physical, moral, and intellectual development of the children entrusted to their care.

The staff carry out their educational functions in close collaboration with the parents or guardians of the children.

While the nursery is primarily a place of life for children, it is also a place of education, learning, and socialization.

Our nursery is also a place for meetings and exchanges between adults, all in the interest of the child — who is at the heart of all our concerns.

Childcare is based on observing each child’s development (acquisitions, developmental stages, role within the group, etc.).

We also work in partnership with a dietitian specialized in child nutrition. The meals served to the children are therefore healthy, balanced, and prepared on-site by a qualified chef. During lunchtime, we also make it a priority to pass on nutritional and educational values to the children.

For several years now, and when specific needs arise, our establishment has strengthened its approach through close, targeted, and constructive collaboration with external services and resources such as:

          • A pedagogue: who may intervene occasionally within each group. This exchange allows the staff to discuss various issues encountered in their daily professional practice with children and/or parents, and to find practical, useful, and appropriate pedagogical tools and solutions.
          • The “Hëllef fir de Puppelchen” service: which offers pedagogical and therapeutic support to children aged 0 to 4 years, as well as to their families.
          • SIPO a.s.b.l. (Early Orthopedic Intervention Service): which works with children aged 0 to 6 years and their families.
          • P.A.M.O. (Open Environment Action Project): a service of the “Kannerschlass” Foundation.
          • S.C.A.S. (Central Social Assistance Service).
          • The Luxembourg Red Cross and its “Families First Luxembourg” service.
          • The Luxembourg Hospital Center (Child Psychiatry Department), among others.

These partners represent valuable resources that our structure uses to enhance and enrich our qualitative approach for the benefit of the children and their families.
