Born in 1989, Jeff Mack obtained first prizes in trumpet, singing, solfège, harmony, and chamber music.
In 2012, he earned his advanced diploma in trumpet in the class of Blaise Stelandre. Since 2010, he had been pursuing higher studies at the Hochschule für Musik Mainz in the classes of Malte Burba and Lutz Mandler.
At the same time, he studied singing in the class of Mariette Lentz, where he obtained his advanced diploma with Great Distinction in 2014.
He is a member of several ensembles, including Trio Inverso, the European Union Youth Wind Orchestra, the Duke’s Singers, the cross-border youth choir Chœur Robert Schuman, and the Ensemble Vocal du Luxembourg.
The young countertenor is particularly interested in music from the 15th to the 18th century. Through various masterclasses, he has worked with artists such as Antonella Cesari, Philippe Jaroussky, Andreas Scholl, and the King’s Singers. He has performed under renowned conductors such as Pierre Cao, Jan Cober, Ralf Otto, Wolfram Koloseus, Patrick Davin, and Grete Pedersen, with ensembles including the Luxembourg Philharmonic Orchestra, the Mainzer Bachorchester, the Staatsphilharmonie Rheinland-Pfalz, and the Neumeyer Consort.
In 2014, he made his debut in the title role of Handel’s opera Rinaldo on the stages of CAPe Ettelbruck and the Théâtre d’Esch-sur-Alzette (Luxembourg).
He has performed in Europe, Canada, the United States, and South Africa, and has participated in several television, radio, and CD recordings.
Since 2013, he has been teaching choral singing, ensemble, and trumpet at the UGDA music school.
