Sandra Kapp, interior designer: During our first meeting, I immediately felt that the customer's desire was to realize an exceptional project. What was important to them was to have a healthy work environment for their employees. The idea was to make several spaces available to employees, such as a kitchen, a common area with a kicker and target of darts or a fitness. This concept quickly inspired me and we got to work. The premises of Fisogest are divided mainly on two floors with an area of more than 200 m2 per floor. There are closed offices and openspaces. In all, twenty employees per floor. The third floor is dedicated to the three meeting rooms. Two rooms can be joined to create a large open space. To do this, a separating and removable wall has been put in place. A room that also serves as a place of presentation and space for conferences, meetings or seminars.
Another key factor was the materials used. Fisogest has capitalized on natural materials such as oak wood. A warm wood that is found in both floors and furniture. We did not choose furniture catalog, I designed and designed all furniture and furniture were made by Modulor joinery. We wanted to create a soothing ambiance using natural materials such as oak and opt for calm colors mixed with more contrasting colors such as light green, beige or brown. Everything is uncluttered to avoid any element of stress. What were the constraints?Sandra Kapp, interior designer: 'A healthy environment also goes through a quiet space. The constraint or rather the challenge was to integrate the staff (twenty people) into openspace ensuring the personal comfort of each employee. The simplest way would have been to make rows and align the offices. Something we wanted to avoid at all costs. It was therefore necessary to find a solution to exploit space optimally. So we installed acoustic walls and mats to absorb surrounding noise and visual separations to ensure personalized spaces within the openspace. The offices have been grouped and positioned obliquely to create more user-friendly islands that facilitate communication. Individual while being collective, successful bet '.What has particularly affected you in this project?Sandra Kapp, interior designer: 'From the beginning, this project inspired me and motivated me. I was really pleasantly surprised that a company decided to set up its work environment with the ultimate goal of making it as enjoyable as possible for the benefit of its employees and customers. A nice gift to reward the commitment of its employees. After the end of the work, I revisited the premises and I was very happy to see that we went from an idea to reality. The openspaces are not noisy and people talk to each other calmly. The fact of having made sure to eliminate any source of stress and noise has borne fruit. It's a nice space where you can work well. What are your future projects?Sandra Kapp, interior designer: 'I have a lot of private projects, ranging from home renovations, kitchens to complete amenities. There is everything. The projects are as varied as the people who command them. I also have the privilege of being able to design the layout of a control house. So, I go on the other side, instead of the customer who can choose the interior architecture. A nice challenge that is not without difficulties, because it will be very self-critical in his choices. I tend to question myself and try to find even more powerful solutions than the previous ones (like many creative ones by the way). I can not wait to attack these projects.
Sandra Kapp's project hopes that other companies will follow this model. 'I hope that reflections evolve in this direction' confirms Sandra Kapp, 'because health and well-being at work are very important' A friendly workplace benefits both the company and the staff, through a healthier, more social and therefore less stressful and more restrictive working environment. A trend that is starting to crystallize in many entities looking to incorporate warmer relationships into their way of operating. A winning investment that guarantees satisfaction, productivity and individual and collective well-being.
