The daycare center “Kannerstuff”, managed by the non-profit organization (asbl) “Mameranus”, opened its doors in 1982.
It operates under an agreement with the Ministry of Education, Children and Youth, and is a member of the Entente des Foyers de Jour.
Most of our educational objectives are derived from the rights of the child and focus primarily on stimulating all the senses in order to promote multicultural learning in a pleasant and joyful environment.
Through play, our children learn the Luxembourgish language, which is an essential tool for communication and integration at school.
Through a wide range of activities, our children have the opportunity to discover and respect nature and the environment.
A structured daily rhythm, rules, and consequences help them to understand their limits and to find their place in a safe and trusting environment.
Girls and boys are educated equally.
The daycare team is committed to providing children with balanced and varied nutrition. Meals prepared on site are made from local, fresh market and seasonal products.
As the daycare welcomes children with special needs, all children learn that the inclusion of people with disabilities is something natural and self-evident.
Education at the daycare is intended to complement and support family education. Parents retain the primary responsibility for their child’s upbringing. Close cooperation with parents is therefore one of our main priorities.
