The Stëmm vun der Strooss (engl. Voice of the Street) is a non-profit organisation that welcomes and supports disadvantaged people, people who are homeless, unemployed, living on a minimum wage, ex-criminals, asylum seekers, immigrants and people who suffer from addictions such as alcoholism, drug or medication addiction.
The post-therapy centre in Schoenfels targets adults who have struggled with addiction and who want to live a drug-free life. The centre has two goals:
- Professional reintegration and resocialization
- Avoid that people in need are accommodated in emergency structures
Thus, these persons can work in three different workshops:
- Environmental protection and upkeep of green spaces
At the moment, 25 people who have gone through rehab are employed in the post-therapeutic centre. 15 accommodations are available on-site for the people who work here.
