Three decades of shared history connect the two architecture offices located at 16 and 18 avenue Gaston Diderich in Luxembourg City.
After graduating as architects, Manuel Schumacher and Romain Schmiz each established their own firm, while maintaining close friendly ties, just as during their university years, and collaborating successfully on large-scale public projects.
Following the unexpected passing of Romain Schmiz in 2022, his firm was converted into a private limited company (sàrl). Thanks to the dedication of his family, the entire team was retained, and ongoing projects continued. Management was assumed by Manuel Schumacher for architecture and André Agne for urban planning.
In the summer of 2022, new managing partners joined the existing team: Ralf Junges, Nico Engel and Denis Rosolen.
Initially under the same roof and later as neighbors, the two offices have always worked closely together. Thirty years later, the circle is now complete, and the two associated firms have merged into a single practice: “Schumacher Schmiz Architectes Sàrl”.
