Halloween 2017: 3 outing ideas to do in Luxembourg with children
If Halloween is highly celebrated in the United States, the tradition gradually wins Luxembourg ... But where to celebrate this scary event? Here is a list of some events taking place in the country!
For the little ones ...
The " Trauliicht brennen " is a tradition of the Luxembourg Ardennes: the young men from the villages, while guarding the cows, dug beets and then put candles on them. Once they had fallen, they would light them, and walk in a procession, in order to drive out the bad enemies and spend the winter in all serenity.
To perpetuate this ritual, the youngest will have the opportunity to take part in the making of their own lantern , but not only: preparation of a ghost cake, modeling of a ceramic ghost, making a vampire and making a dream catcher are also on the program.
Children can take part in these activities during a day or half day, between October 21st and November 3rd .
