“Eis Epicerie Zolwer” is a social grocery store that was conceptualized by the non-profit organization EcoSol-Sanem. To ensure its commercial operations, it was established through the creation of the cooperative EpiSol-Sanem.
The grocery store, which opened on June 6, 2015, and is located at 2, rue du Knapp in Soleuvre, offers a variety of local, regional, fair-trade and/or organic products. Products from sheltered workshops in Luxembourg and/or organizations promoting reintegration into employment are also sold there.
With us, every product has a story and creates jobs. Through your purchases, you help people who are far from the labor market to find meaningful employment.
“Eis Epicerie Zolwer” is a shop open to EVERYONE, including clients of the Sanem Social Office. Our aim is to provide access to healthy, balanced, and responsible food for all, including individuals and families with limited financial means. Thanks to this social and solidarity-based initiative, these people can benefit from solidarity pricing, with the difference covered by fundraising activities, donations, discovery workshops, etc.
Various services are also offered within the grocery store to make shopping a pleasant and friendly experience, such as a bistro area, a light catering area, a kiosk, a book exchange corner, and a children’s space.
