Thermal insulation in wooden entrance doors

Rising energy costs have made thermal insulation increasingly important for entrance doors, alongside aesthetics and security. The thermal insulation capability of a front door largely depends on the materials used and their craftsmanship. Wooden doors inherently possess good insulation properties. However, to comply with current thermal insulation standards, door panels must be solidly constructed and meet minimum thickness requirements. All solidly crafted entrance doors by Schreinerei Messerich have a thickness ranging from 68 mm to 88 mm, effectively preventing heat loss. 

Security first 

While energy efficiency is crucial, security must not be overlooked. Many break-ins still occur due to inadequately secured house or side doors. Schreinerei Vincent Messerich adheres to state-of-the-art security standards: all entrance doors come standard with a 3-point lock, a branded cylinder, and a security fitting. For an additional charge, a 5-point lock and a security cylinder with a hardened steel core can be installed. Yet, the best security lock is of no use if the door itself is unstable. Therefore, Schreinerei Messerich uses only high-quality wood that undergoes careful inspection before processing. 

Authentic reproduction of historical doors

Over the years, Schreinerei Vincent Messerich has specialized in the preservation of historical monuments and the reproduction of antique doors. The challenge lies in creating an authentic replica that meets today's safety and insulation requirements. When reproducing an original door, individual preferences can be accommodated, such as leaded glass, carving, and locksmith work tailored to personal tastes.
