Nutritional therapy
Nutritional therapy is generally aimed at individuals suffering from an illness or health problem.
In the treatment of certain diseases, the dietary treatment serves as a complementary therapy to medical treatment. This is the case, for example, in the treatment of diabetes, high blood pressure, or diverticulitis.
Other diseases or health issues are primarily treated through nutritional therapy, such as celiac disease, lactose/fructose intolerance, prediabetes, or metabolic fatty liver disease. The health issues treated by a dietitian depend on her areas of expertise. Please note that I do not take on patients with chronic kidney failure, Crohn's disease, ulcerative colitis, or cystic fibrosis, as these conditions are outside of my areas of expertise.
