Since mid-July 2010, the Route d’Arlon in Strassen has gained a new gourmet landmark: Le Bistronome.
This house of flavors and fine dining has one ambition — to offer a place where everyone can enjoy themselves, share delightful moments with family, friends, or business partners.
We also offer a private lounge with a balcony for all kinds of events (weddings, baptisms, communions, seminars, birthdays), as well as a terrace and private parking.
Located at 373, Route d’Arlon in Strassen (formerly the “Riquewihr” restaurant), Le Bistronome is jointly managed by two complementary professionals:
- Jean-Charles Hospital, chef — with experience at Michelin-starred establishments such as Sholteshof (Roger Souvereyns) in Stevoort, De Barrier (Rik Vandersanden) in Houthalen, and Wengé in Luxembourg City.
- Philippe L’Hôpital, maître d’hôtel and sommelier — trained at Maison de Bricourt (Olivier Roellinger) in Cancale, Clairefontaine (Tony Tintinger) in Luxembourg, and Wengé in Luxembourg City.
The interior combines elegance and simplicity, creating a warm, homely atmosphere — oak flooring, light wooden furniture, and fine white porcelain tableware.
In this charming setting, where the ambiance is both welcoming and refined, guests can enjoy seasonal cuisine prepared from fresh, locally sourced ingredients, paired with carefully selected wines that enhance the delicate and flavorful dishes and desserts.
A Complete Range of Dining Options
In addition to its regular menu, Le Bistronome offers a variety of possibilities — from private lunches and dinners (birthdays, communions) to business receptions and events.
The restaurant provides:

- A private lounge upstairs for 22 guests, with the option of setting up two large round tables
- A small rear terrace overlooking a lovely garden, seating 20 guests
