The Luxembourg Agency for Cultural Action (“alac”) is a non-profit association founded in 1996 in the wake of “Luxembourg, European Capital of Culture 1995”, with the aim of sustaining the fruitful cooperation between the Ministry of Culture and the City of Luxembourg in the cultural field.
Well established in Luxembourg’s cultural life through its various activities, alac has, over the years, become a link between public authorities and cultural actors, and even between different ministries and local authorities, including within the Greater Region.
Composed of people from diverse backgrounds, the alac team shares a passion for culture in all its forms.
Being active in several areas related to cultural activity allows us to understand its challenges and to work in synergy to propose coherent solutions.
We enjoy communicating, exchanging, and connecting: artists and organizers, public and private stakeholders, through partnerships based on mutual trust.
Driven by the desire to contribute to Luxembourg’s development, we work to promote the Luxembourg cultural landscape to as many people as possible.
It also manages the “Cercle Cité” complex, located in the heart of Luxembourg City.
