As a well-established freight transport hub with modern, multimodal infrastructure, we offer you bespoke solutions – going far beyond traditional transport services.
Through our subsidiaries Lorang S.A., ThesiLux S.A., MMS and TCT, we are represented not only in Mertert (Luxembourg) – the Grand Duchy’s only inland port – but also in Trier (Germany) and Metz (France).
The Port of Mertert is connected to all major European waterways via the Moselle. Thanks to its ideal location in the heart of Europe, we can reach your destinations by ship, rail or lorry in the shortest possible time.

Blasting & Coating
- Blasting and coating work at Mertert Harbour for sheet piling, girders, pontoons, crane components and other steel elements.
- Corrosion protection systems for a range of environmental conditions – lengths of over 30 metres and loads of over 30 tonnes are no problem.
- On-site coating: top coats, repairs to damage – our expert staff are FROSIO and ACQPA certified.
Mosel Container Line (MCL)
The Luxport Group’s container solution
- Container services in the Saar-Lor-Lux area and the Trier region.
- Liner service with motor vessels: Connection between Antwerp (and, if required, Rotterdam/Cologne) and Mertert (Luxembourg) and Metz (France) – weekly sailings (Mondays/Tuesdays and Thursdays/Fridays).
- Rail connections: Weekly trains from Antwerp to Metz and vice versa – even during low-water periods on the Rhine.
- Container handling & depot: In Mertert and Metz (operated by MMS – Multi Modal Shuttle SAS) – including coordination, inspections, repairs, documentation and stacking.
- Last mile: Modern tractor units and chassis from our road haulage company, Lorang S.A., ensure a seamless, one-stop supply chain.
