The Stëmm vun der Strooss (engl. Voice of the Street) is a non-profit organisation that welcomes and supports disadvantaged people, people who are homeless, unemployed, living on a minimum wage, ex-criminals, asylum seekers, immigrants and people who suffer from addictions such as alcoholism, drug or medication addiction.
Initiated in February 2014 and located in Bonnevoie, the Caddy is a therapeutic workshop offering rehabilitation, professional reintegration and prevention measures for disadvantaged people. The activities of the Caddy can be split into two categories:
- A collection workshop, which picks up, sorts, transforms and redistributes food products in cooperation with the hypermarket Auchan. This way, the workshop produces over 300 sandwiches, 300 food packages, 40l of fresh fruit juice, 30l of soup and 200 desserts on a daily basis. In 2015, 148 tons of food products were recovered and redistributed. The Caddy cooperates with other associations in order to distribute the recovered food, the majority of which targets disadvantaged people as well.
- Diverse services, such as catering, exterior cleaning and flyering are also occasionally offered.
